A Quick Clarification

There are a few things that need to be re-communicated in this poster and the rest of this project. This is not intended to shame victims or force them to put themselves in danger. The intention of this is to have people who are aware of these issues to speak out, so that these victims will have more than their sole voice to count on. The same way that we press the system to take action in solving other more ‘political’ social issues, should be the way we approach others. I’m talking about everything from rape, to murder, racism, sexism, homophobia, classism… These are all equally important issues that need more than one or two speaking on them.

There is something terribly wrong with this truth. We can lower this percentage but we have to say something.

To whom is this addressed? Rape victims? Because that’s kind of gross, shaming people for not reporting. We shouldn’t be telling victims to report without considering their personal circumstances. We should be creating a world where anyone feels safe enough to report in the first place.

The purpose of this blog is to bring awareness to various social injustices and issues and encourage people to unite and change these issues for the better.

If there are any issues you wish me to include on this blog please let me know, whether it be personal or impersonal. The goal is to bring people together again for cause for peace.

There is something terribly wrong with this truth. We can lower this percentage but we have to say something. Become the voice for those who have had theirs taken.
